We had lunch here

We arrived at the observatory after trundling down some unmade roads and were welcomed with refreshments.   We were divided into groups and got down to photography.   It was windy causing a problem with the flora.

Emphasizing a point

We were warned that it would rain at 3 and it did...  

Low-Band Array.   96 aerials observing the lowest frequencies 

High-Band Array.   Each 'tile' is 5 x 5 metres and contains 16 individual antennas

We drove home through some very heavy summer rain and heavy traffic and arrived home rather later than hoped.    We had had a great day out.
